“Think deep Scottish roots, razor sharp Americana, trad and contemporary Appalachia embellished with touches of folk and country blues – do that and you’re halfway there. To complete the picture, add blisteringly tight musicianship and perfectly interlaced harmonies.”
Have Mercy Las Vegas have been described as “an ideal festival band with stacks of energy” by the Voice of New Music in Scotland, Jim Gellatly. It seems many agree with him, with the band earning rave reviews of their blistering live performances at festivals up and down the country. Stand out performances at Belladrum, Celtic Connections, Hebcelt and Wickerman have been the highlight, although there have been too many to count in truth. In addition, the band have been rewarded with live performances on BBC’s Gaelic Music show RAPAL, STV Glasgow’s flagship Riverside Show and a live broadcast of their set from Belladrum, which featured in the weekends highlights alongside the Manic Street Preachers and Hayseed Dixie.
