Katy graduated from ACM’s song-writing course earlier this year and was immediately signed by Metropolis Publishing and as a Yamaha Guitar Representative.
She enjoyed great success with two self-penned hit singles “Part-time girlfriend” and “Love You More”, which reached numbers two and one respectively in the UK iTunes Country chart, leading to invitations to perform at many high profile events during the year.
During this time she assembled the talented band that now play alongside her. Their performances at Buckle and Boots, FSA, Henley Festival (where she did a duet with the legendary Jose Feliciano) and both CarFest events, were well-received and achieved critical acclaim.
Katy recently spent a month in Nashville where she was invited to perform at the Bluebird Café. Much of her trip was spent co-writing with various other artists, which has armed her with a large and varied collection of new material for the future, including the song “I Don’t Wanna Love You”, which was performed as part of her highly successful set at the BCMA Awards.
At the end of October Katy became the first country act in 40 years to be invited to perform at the famous Jazz Cafe in London.
